Hanyou no Yashahime aired it’s third episode today in both Japan and in the US, but the real delight for me came at the end of the episode when we got the preview for next week’s episode!

The preview confirms Noriko Hidaka did in fact record lines as Kikyou for the series. The preview seems to even confirm my theory that Kikyou now exists as a kami (god) in the current storyline. In this case, she appears to be the kami of the jidaiju (tree of ages)–the same tree she pinned Inuyasha to prior to her original death in the original series.
