
Willow Moonwind Johnson was born on 03 April 1977 in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. She is a voice over artist, singer, and writer primarily known for her work on English adaptations of Japanese anime during the 1990s and the 2000s. Amongst Willow’s high profile roles include Kasumi Tendou from Ranma 1/2, Kikyou from Inuyasha, Yugo Gilbert from Project ARMS, and Lily McGuire from Fatal Fury. Willow has also recorded songs as Kasumi Tendou for the Ranma 1/2 OAV series.
In addition to her work on Japanese anime, Willow has also lent her voice to western animation characters. Her first western animation project was at the age of 12 when she voiced a character named Vanessa in a TV series called Camp Candy in 1989. Shortly after this role, she voiced Starlight in My Little Pony Tales in 1992. Her other western animation credits include King Arthur and the Knights of Justice, Ben-Hur, Barbie and the Three Musketeers, Sing Along Barbie, and The Little Prince.
